Two different situations are taken into account when determining the internal forces to be taken as basis in for the design of the columns:
a) Shear force, axial force and bending moments calculated computed by considering the load combinations including which also includes the earthquake effect.
b) Axial force obtained by increasing the axial tensile and compressive forces by the coefficient of excess strength overstrength factor D, regardless of the bending moment.
