The main function of the ideCAD report program is to view the reports on the screen and send them to the printer. However, some facilities for use have been added to the ideCAD Report program.

Unit Settings in Reports

The units of the account outputs are set in the report program.

...

  • Get a report.

  • The program will open the ideCAD Report program.

  • Click the Unit Settings icon from the toolbar in the report program .

  • The unit preferences dialog will be displayed.

  • Set the units according to the sizes in the list.

  • Click the OK button to close the dialog.

Adding Company Picture to Reports

It is possible to print the company logo on the program outputs. The company logo will be displayed in the upper right corner of the report pages.

The company logo can be selected in the select reports dialog before the report is prepared, or can be selected in the report program after receiving the report.

In the Select Reports dialog:

  • Click the Reports/Select Reports line.

  • The Structural Report Settings dialog will appear.

  • Click Please Select Company Logo in the dialog .

  • The Load Image dialog will open. In this dialog, switch to the folder where you previously saved the company logo and select the company logo you saved in any image format.

  • Click the Open button. You will be returned to the Structural Report Settings dialog.

  • A preview of the logo you selected will be displayed in the optional reports dialog.

  • Click the OK button to close the dialog.

Within the report program:

  • Get a report.

  • Click the Company Picture line under the Edit menu in the report program .

  • The Insert Picture dialog will open. In this dialog, switch to the folder where you previously saved the company logo and select the company logo you saved in any image format.

  • Click the Open button. You will be returned to the Structural Report Settings dialog.

  • The preview image of the logo you selected will be displayed in the Structural Report Settings dialog.

  • Click the OK button to close the dialog.

After this stage, your company logo will also be seen in each report.

Deleting Company Logo in Reports

To delete the company logo added to the top of the report pages:

Within the report program:

  • Get a report.

  • Click the Remove Company Picture line under the Edit menu in the report program .

View of Report Pages

Some possibilities have been developed to examine the pages in the ideCAD Report program:

Page view:

It is the option of displaying pages one by one on one screen, or double-double on one screen. You can perform the process by clicking Single page or double page icons from the toolbar in the report program.

Zoom operations:

Zoom operations zoom the page in or out. You can execute commands by clicking the Zoom In, Zoom Out or Zoom Actual Size icons from the toolbar. In addition, the + and - keys on the keyboard perform the zoom operation.

Fit width:

Zooms in or out on the image of the page to match the width of the screen. In the report program, you can run the command by clicking the icon from the toolbar.

Fit height:

Zooms in or out on the image of the page to match the height of the screen. In the report program, you can run the command by clicking the icon from the toolbar.

Fonts and font sizes:

The fonts and shapes of the reports can be set separately for each title and information. In the report program, you can run commands by clicking the Font icons from the toolbar.

Page margins:

The size of the page margins in the report can be adjusted. Its Page Margins command is used. In the report program, you can run commands by clicking the Page Margins icon from the toolbar.

Page numbering settings:

When a report is prepared, the program automatically arranges the page numbers of the report. However, the designer can edit the page numbers of the sheets at any time. You can run the command by clicking the Page Numbers icon from the toolbar.

Tabs move:

When the Tabs move icon is clicked in the report program , lines dividing the page are displayed on each page. These lines regulate the column widths of the tables. When you drag any tab with the left mouse button, the width of the column on which the tab line corresponds also changes.

Tracking Project Error Alerts in Report

When the report is received, the program lists the situations that do not comply with the regulations, if any, and also places red Crosses next to the relevant elements in the report . It places a green OK sign next to the appropriate elements .

The project errors process has been developed to reach the elements that are not suitable in terms of regulations. When a report is received the report can hold hundreds of pages. This facility can be used to easily see unsuitable elements.

These opportunities, which display the errors in order after the report is received , can be accessed from the Error menu as well as from the toolbar. Can also be used with hot keys from the keyboard

Next error: Moves the cursor to the next error. Also the F6 key.

Previous error: Moves the cursor to the previous error. Also F5 key

First error: Moves the cursor to the location of the first error. Also the F7 key.

Last error: Moves the cursor to the location of the last error. Also the F8 key.

Index Pages in Reports

When the report is received, printouts appear in the page layout. Report pages are grouped under their own title. The page of each title is specific. The index feature in the report allows you to see the headings as page numbers. On the index page, each title is displayed as a list and the page number is written opposite it.

The page number opposite the title can be clicked on the index page. After clicking, the cursor automatically moves to the relevant page.

To reach the index page in the report;

  • Get a report.

  • Click the Show index icon from the toolbar in the report program.

  • Click the Show report icon from the toolbar for the report again.

Saving Reports as PDF

In order to save the reports as a PDF file, the save as command is used in the report program.

  • Get a report.

  • In the report program, click the File/Save As line.

  • Click on the file type line in the opened dialog with the left mouse button and select the Pdf Document (* .pdf) line from the drop-down list .

  • Give it a name.

Saving Reports as Txt

The metric reports created can be saved in *, txt format as well as * .rpt format. Meter report files saved in TXT format can be opened by programs that read the TXT format. When recording in TXT format, it is necessary to save each report page separately. Because save TXT will only save the active page.

To record TXT;

Click the File/Save As line.

Click on the file type line in the dialog that opens with the left mouse button and select the Text Files (* .txt) line from the drop-down list .
