With the IFC file format.ifc (Export) command, project information can be is converted to IFC file format and transferred to other software that can read this format or data can be taken from other software to the program.

Location of the Export IFC Command

You can access it from the menu under the ideCAD logo in the upper left corner of the screen in the ribbon menu.

Usage Steps

  • Click the ideCAD icon in the upper left corner of the program is clicked.

  • From the menu that opens, the Import Click the Export/IFC line is clicked.In the dialog that opens, the .ifc line from the menu that opens.

  • The file type you want to record is selected on the right side of the File Name linein the dialog that opens.

  • Give a name to the File Name line and click the Save button.

Export Process

  • All stories are transferred by obeying the elevation information and names.

  • If there is a slab or beam on the top story, an empty story is added at the top to associate with these elements.

  • This blank story is for the IFC file, not reflected on the ideCAD side.
