When you click By clicking on an empty place in the drawing area and move moving the cursor from left to right, you select only the entities objects within the rectangle are selected, and when you move the cursor is moved from right to left, you select both the objects within the rectangle and all the objects that the cursor passes over are selected. Moreover, you can do the opposite is applied by holding down the shift key during the process.
