With the Coupling Connection Beam Design Settings, the design parameters used in the Concrete Coupling Connection Beam Design, which are modeled together with Concrete Single Footing and Strip Foundation, are determined. Concrete cover, maximum and minimum reinforcement interval, etc. parameters are determined from the coupling connection beam design settings window.

...

Note

Parameters with the ( % ) sign mean the percentage expression of the rebar ratio. It is the ratio of the cross-sectional area of the reinforced concrete element to the rebar area expressed as a percentage.

For example, when a “1” is written to the minimum percentage parameter, the rebar percentage is considered 1%. Since the percentage equivalent of a 0.01 rebar ratio is 1%, it is appropriate to write “1” to this parameter.

Specifications

Concrete cover

It is the distance from the center of gravity of the tension or compression rebar in the coupling connection beam to the outer face of the concrete.

Min. tensile percentage

Image Removedimage-20250107-114046.pngImage Added

It is the parameter that determines the minimum rebar to be placed in the tensile zone in the coupling connection beam. Under no circumstances can the rebar be less than the limit set by this parameter.

Maximum percentage

Image Removedimage-20250107-114059.pngImage Added

It determines the upper limit of the tensile rebar to be placed on the coupling connection beam. Under no circumstances can the rebar exceed the limit specified by this parameter. If it is too much, the program will give the message "section is insufficient" for the coupling connection beam where the maximum strength is higher.

Min. B for double stirrup

The coupling connection beam width is compared with this parameter. As long as the width of the coupling connection beam does not exceed the minimum width specified in this parameter, the tie beams are reinforced with a double arm stirrup. Otherwise, they are equipped with 2 double-armed stirrups.

H for body reinforcement

If the height of the coupling connection beam is more than the value specified in this parameter, the web rebar is placed on the beam.

Min. stirrup interval

The spacing of the stirrup to be placed on the coupling connection beam is chosen not to be less than the value specified in this parameter.

Max. stirrup interval

The spacing of the stirrup to be placed on the coupling connection beam is chosen not to be more than the value specified in this parameter.

Max. mounting interval

It has no function for coupling connection beam.
