Combines two columns according to the given knitting type.

  • From the Steel menu, click on the Constructive Unions / Column-Column Combination (Made Column) line.

  • In a 3D perspective view, plug the first, then the second, of the columns to be joined.

  • The combination will occur with default settings.

  • Double-click the combination to change settings.

  • The unification dialog will open.


Construction Tab

The count of plates to be formed along the column height is determined by distance or count. Check the option. If you select the distance option, adjust the distance values ​​according to the given figure. The connection of the elements with the column can be welded or bolted.

Pattern Tab

Select from the list with which pattern type the column will be connected. You can also choose the alignment horizontally or vertically.

Parameters Tab

You can give the geometry of the plate to be created along the column height according to the shape shown or you can use one of the profiles in the library as a connection element with the Use Section option.

Welds Tab

The weld properties of the connections given in the schematic representation are set in the Welds tab. Give the size, type, angle values ​​and mark the option whether to weld under construction site conditions.

Welding geometry is determined automatically by the program. These properties can be changed to easily determine the connection properties. Geometry features are in accordance with industry standards and in the form specified in AISC.
