Rigid and semi-rigid diaphram conditions should be choosen by user according to irregularities defined in ASCE 7/16.

Analysis is done automatically according to finite element method.

Required strength is designed to analyse with Load Factors and Combinations

Symbols

Mu = factored flexural moment at section, lb
Mn = nominal flexural strength at section, in.-lb
Vn = nominal shear strength, lb
Vu = factored shear force at section, lb

Factored moment

Mu at the support is calculated at the face of support for slabs built integrally with supports.

Factored Shear

Vu at the support is calculated at the face of support for slabs built integrally with supports. Sections between the face of support and a critial section located d from the face of support for nonpresressed slabs is designed for Vu at the critical section if the rules satisfied:

  • Support reaction, in direction of applied shear, introduces compression into the end region of the slab

  • Loads are applied at or near the top surface of the slab

  • No concentrated load occurs between the face of support and critical section

  • No labels
