  • In the case of earthquake calculations in the time history, there is no need to combine direction.

If the earthquake calculation is solved with equations of motion representing dynamic behavior in the time domain, the earthquake effect in two perpendicular directions at the same time is taken into account thanks to the philosophy of the method. In this case, since the combined horizontal earthquake effect is obtained as a result of the calculation, there is no need to calculate and combine the horizontal earthquake effects separately. When calculating in the time history, the combined horizontal earthquake effect is obtained automatically .
