This combination is a column scissors combination. After drawing your columns and scissors and making adjustments;

  • From the Steel menu, click on the Front Plate Shear Combination row.

  • Select the main element (column) and click the right mouse button.

  • Select the scissor elements connected to the main element and click the right mouse button.

  • The combination will occur with default settings.

Double-click the combination to change settings. The unification dialog will open.


Sheets Tab

The geometric features of the forehead plate can be changed by considering the figure indicated in the schematic representation.

Main Sheet Tab

The geometric properties of the main plate can be changed by taking into account the figure indicated in the schematic representation.

Plate Type Tab

The plate type and geometric features can be changed by considering the shape indicated in the schematic representation.

Scissor Bolts Tab

The geometric features of the shear bolts can be changed by considering the figure indicated in the schematic representation.

Bolt properties: Bolt class, bolt diameter and hole properties are set in bolt properties.

Bolts Tab

The geometric features of the bolts on the frontal plate can be changed by considering the figure indicated in the schematic representation.

Bolt properties: Bolt class, bolt diameter and hole properties are set in bolt properties.

Resources Tab

The source properties of the joints given in the schematic representation are set in the Resources tab. Give the thickness, type, angle values ​​and mark the option whether to weld under construction site conditions.

Welding geometry is determined automatically by the program. These properties can be changed to easily determine the joint properties. Geometry features are in accordance with industry standards and in the form specified in AISC.

Design Entries Tab

Plate material strength is defined in design inputs.

If necessary, click the list and define "new plate material". To create a welding electrode, provide the Name and Strength information in the dialog that opens after clicking Create New.
