Before sending the story plans to the drawing, it may be necessary to make some finishing touches on the drawing. If these corrections cannot be made in the 3-dimensional floor window, the relevant window can be transferred to two dimensions. Transferring in two dimensions is to make a two-dimensional copy of the related story plan.

With Generate 2D Drawing command, 3D objects can be split into 2D objects. All 3D objects such as roofs, libraries, walls, smart objects such as interior and exterior dimensions are converted into lines, hatches and simple text.

Location of the Generate 2D Drawing Command

You can access it under the heading Generate under the ribbon menu Tools tab .

Usage Steps

To transfer in two dimensions:

  • Switch to the floor window where the drawing you want to transfer into two dimensions is located.

  • Click the Generate 2D Drawing icon.

  • The Generate 2D Drawing Dialog opens. In this dialog there are Generate Options. Check the options you want.

  • A new 2-dimensional drawing window will be opened, the drawings in the active story plan will be created here in two dimensions.

It allows only selected objects to be transferred to 2 dimensions.

Include section lines

It allows section lines to be transferred to 2 dimensions.

Include transparent story drawings

It allows the lines visible between stories to be transferred to 2 dimensions.

Explode hatches

It allows the scans to be divided into 2 dimensions.

Explode libraries

It allows libraries to be fragmented and transferred to 2 dimensions.

Explode stairs

It allows the stairs to be divided into 2 dimensions.

It enables formatted writings to be divided into 2 dimensions.
