This combination is a column - trusses combination.


Location of the End Plate Truss Connection Command

You can access it under the ribbon menu, Connection tab, Experimentals title.

Usage Steps

  • From the connection menu, click on the End Plate Truss Connection row.

  • Select the main element (column) and click the right mouse button.

  • Select the truss elements connected to the main element and click the right mouse button.

  • The connection will occur with default settings.

Select the connection and click the right mouse button. Click the Properties line from the right click menu that opens.

Plates Tab

The geometric features of the end plate can be changed by considering the figure indicated in the schematic representation.

Main Plate Tab

The geometric properties of the main plate can be changed by taking into account the figure indicated in the schematic representation.

Plate Type Tab

The plate type and geometric features can be changed by considering the shape indicated in the schematic representation.

Truss Bolts Tab

The geometric features of the truss bolts can be changed by considering the figure indicated in the schematic representation.

Bolt properties: Bolt grade, bolt size and hole properties are set in bolt properties.

Bolts Tab

The geometric features of the bolts on the end plate can be changed by considering the figure indicated in the schematic representation.

Bolt properties: Bolt grade, bolt size and hole properties are set in bolt properties.

Welds Tab

The weld properties of the connections given in the schematic representation are set in the Welds tab. Give the size, type, angle values ​​and mark the option whether to weld under construction site conditions.

Welding geometry is determined automatically by the program. These properties can be changed to easily determine the connection properties. Geometry features are in accordance with industry standards and in the form specified in AISC.

Design Data Tab

Plate material strength is defined in design inputs.

If necessary, click the list and define "Create New…". To create the plate material, give the information "Name" and "Strength" in the dialog that opens after clicking "Create New".
