With the Growing feature, you can specify in which direction/directions the column can grow or shrink when the column dimensions are changed in rectangular columns.
Columns can grow or shrink in the direction indicated by the marked boxes. In addition, the marking here also determines the colon growth direction in colomn application.
Location of the Growing Feature
You can access the growing feature from the general tab of the column settings dialog.
