You can turn your glass materials into frosted glass with the diffuse refraction feature in transparency.

Location of the Diffuse Refraction Feature

You can access the diffuse refraction feature from the transparency section of the general tab of the material editor dialog.

Usage Steps

  • Enter the edit material command and click on the glass.

  • In the transparency section, mark the diffuse refraction feature.

  • By increasing the spread and sample count, the material is given the frosted glass property.

  • Enter values ​​for spread and sample count.

  • Increasing the values ​​ensures that the dots are distributed homogeneously. As a result, the rendering time will increase.

  • Click the OK button to close the dialog.

  • The window glass will become frosted.

Whendiffuse refraction is not active


When the spread value is 0.2 and the sample count value is 20


When the spread value is 0.2 and the sample count value is 80


When the spread value is 1 and the sample count value is 80
