  • Acording to ASCE 7-16, design response spectrum determined by multiplying the risk-targeted maximum considered earthquake (MCER) response spectrum by (2/3). Design response spectrum is in force for standard design.

  • According to ASCE 7-16, Earthquake Ground Motion Level and Performance Level are determined automatically

Within the scope of ASCE 7-16, different earthquake ground motion levels are defined Section11.2

11.2 - The Risk-Targeted Maximum Considered Earthquake (MCER)

MCER, spectral magnitude of 2% probability of exceedance in 50 years and the corresponding return period of 2475 years is very rare characterizes the earthquake ground motion. The most severe earthquake effects considered by this standard determined for the orientation that results in the largest maximum response to horizontal ground motions and with adjustment for targeted risk.

11.2 - Design Earthquake Ground Motion

The earthquake ground motions that are two-thirds of the corresponding MCER ground motions.
