Two different situations are automatically taken into account by programme, when determining the internal forces for the design of the columns.


Two different situations are taken into account when determining the internal forces for the design of the columns:

a) Shear force, axial force and bending moments computed by considering the load combinations which also includes the earthquake loads.

b) Axial force obtained by increasing the axial tensile and compressive forces by the overstrength factor Emh, regardless of the bending moment.
