If the message is "api-ms-win-crt-rutime-l1-1-0dll" is missing from your computer and the program cannot be started, the problem can be resolved by following the steps below.

Step 1

Check for Windows updates and do all updates.

  • Select the Start button and go to Settings> Update & Security> Windows Update.

  • Download and install the updates.

  • During the update, a reboot of the computer may be requested. Restart the computer.

  • Check for updates again after every startup and repeat the process until there are no updates left.

Step 2

If the problem persists, download the appropriate update for your version of windows from the table under Method 2 in the link below and install it yourself.
