  • Sectional damage and limit values of plastic joints, which are automatically defined to the elements, are automatically calculated.

ICONS

SH = Limited Damage
HR = Controlled Damage
LAM = Pre-Collapse

Three damage conditions and damage limits are defined for Ductile Elements in the Assessment and Design Based on Shaping (ŞGDT) approach . These are Limited Damage (SH), Controlled Damage (KH), and Damage Before Failure (LA) and their limit values.

Limited Damage (SH) is the case of very small amount or no inelastic (plastic) behavior in the cross section. Plastic joints behave elastic at the Limited Damage (SH) level and plastic rotation does not occur. Controlled Damage (KH) has a limited amount of inelastic behavior so that its cross-section strength is safe. Plastic joints Controlled Damage limited amount of plastic rotation at the (KH) level and minor damage to the structure occurs. Before Immigration(GÖ) damage condition is the behavior in which plastic deformations in the cross section are at an advanced level and section security is ensured. After this limit value, the plastic joint loses its carriage, passes to the collapse area and cannot provide section security. The above classifications are not valid for brittle damaged components. Ductile behavior in reinforced concrete elements is obtained under bending action. If the element exceeds the shear strength, because of the shear deformations, the section goes to the collapse region without plastic deformation and loses its bearing.
