Steel Brace Definition

When defining a steel brace;

I can't define braces, I would be glad if you could help...

Steel Brace Definition

  1. Draw Steel Brace is used to define braces between the columns and beams. To define the steel braces, it is sufficient to choose the steel beam.

  2. For example, click the beam entered between two steel columns.

  3. The steel braces will be formed to connect the columns with the beam.

Draw Steel Brace Multiple Elements

Steel Braces between steel columns without beams:

  1. After clicking the Draw Steel Brace icon from the toolbar, click the Draw Steel Brace Multiple Elements icon with the left mouse button from the toolbar.

  2. Click the 1st and 2nd column, respectively.

  3. Braces will be formed between steel columns.

Steel Brace between Trusses:

  1. After clicking the Draw Steel Brace icon from the toolbar, click the Draw Steel Brace Multiple Elements icon with the left mouse button from the toolbar.

  2. Click the 1st and 2nd trusses, respectively.

  3. The program will ask for the number of points for the braces. The value entered in this window determines how many nodes braces will snap, in other words, how many spaces will be left between two nodes of the truss. 

  4. According to the entered value, braces will be placed at the nodes of the trusses.

Steel Braces between Steel Beams:

  1. After clicking the Draw Steel Brace icon from the toolbar, click the Draw Steel Brace Multiple Elements icon with the left mouse button from the toolbar.

  2. Click the 1st and 2nd beams, respectively.

  3. If purlins are not defined on the beams, the program will ask you the number of braces to be drawn according to the slope of the beam.

  4. If purlin is not defined on the beams, the program will ask for the number of points for the braces. The value entered in this window determines how many purlin-nodal points the braces will snap, in other words, how many spaces will be left between two purlin-node points in the beam. 

  5. According to the entered value, braces will be placed at the nodes of the beam.
