According to TBDY 2018 Table 3.4, new steel buildings to be built for DD-2 earthquake ground motion level should be solved analysed with the Strength Based Design approach for the Controlled Damage Lİfe Safety Performance Target.
In TBDY 2018, the Design by Controlled Damage Life Safety Performance Level and Strength application Design is carried out applied for the DD-2 earthquake level, regardless of the BYS structuresbuildings' NMS. It is the first stage of design in high-rise buildings, while it is used for final design in other buildings.

As can be seen in the image above, the Controlled Damage and Strength Design approach was chosen for the DD-2 earthquake level for this building. It was closed by the program because other sections should not be selected.
