According to TBDY 2018 Table 3.4, new steel buildings to be built for DD-2 earthquake ground motion level should be solved with the Strength Based Design approach for the Controlled Damage Performance Target .
In TBDY 2018, the Design by Controlled Damage and Strength application is carried out for the DD-2 earthquake level, regardless of the BYS structures. It is the first stage of design in high-rise buildings, while it is used for final design in other buildings.
As seen in the image above, the Controlled Damage and Strength Design approach was chosen for the DD-2 earthquake level for this building. It was closed by the program because other sections should not be selected.
