Building Performance Target

According to TBDY 2018 Table 3.4, new steel buildings for DD-2 earthquake ground motion level should be analysed with Strength Based Design approach for Life Safety Performance Target.

In TBDY 2018, Life Safety Performance Level and Strength Design is applied for the DD-2 earthquake level, regardless of the buildings' BYS. It is the first stage of design in high-rise buildings, while it is used for final design in other buildings.

As can be seen in the image above, Life safety performans level and Strength Design approach is chosen for the DD-2 earthquake level for this building. Other options disabled by the program because other sections should not be selected.
