This message is created by specifying the element name and floor on which it is located at the beginning of the report.

For example,

SB001 BASE STORY Composite beam strength not satisfied.

This warning is given if the following design conditions are not met in the steel composite castellated beam design.

  • Bending moment and shear force design ratios during construction should be below 1.00.

  • Composite bending moment and shear force design ratios should be below 1.00.

The strength of steel castellaed beams is calculated according to the conditions specified below.

Castellated beam strength not satisfied.

Possible Solutions:

  • The cross-sectional dimensions of the secondary beam element, whose name and floor are given, can be enlarged.

  • The load per secondary beam can be reduced by reducing the secondary beam spacing.

  • The compositeness rate can be increased by increasing the number of shear nails.

  • For Vierendeel control ; "Number of castellated filled from the beginning" and "Number of castellated filled from the end" of the elements whose names and floors are given can be increased.
