Earthquake Ground Motion Level.

  • According to Codes, Earthquake Ground Motion Level and Performance Level are determined automatically.

  • According to Codes, design response spectrum with 5% damping ratio, determined automatically based on user defined map acceleration parameters and site coefficients.

TSC 2018 : Earthquake Ground Motion Levels

Within the scope of Seismic Design Codes, different earthquake ground motion levels are defined. Design earthquake spectrum are defined in a standard form based on map acceleration parameters and site coefficients for 5% damping ratio based on a specific earthquake ground motion level.

The Risk-Targeted Maximum Considered Earthquake, spectral magnitude of 2% probability of exceedance in 50 years and the corresponding return period of 2475 years is very rare characterizes the earthquake ground motion.

Design Earthquake Ground Motion, spectral magnitude of 10% probability of exceedance in 50 years and the corresponding return period of 475 years is called Design Earthquake Ground Motion.
