Friction Shear Failure

in Article 7.6.7.2 of TBDY , Vertical reinforcement in horizontal construction joints to be made at the connection level to the foundation and on the upper floors will be controlled by the shear friction method defined in TS 500, taking into account the shear force transferred in that section.

This error message is given because the value does not meet the conditions given in this article.

Possible Solutions

• The cross section of the curtain / column can be increased.

• The longitudinal stiffness on the shear surface of the shear/column can be increased.

• Concrete class can be increased.

• The design can be updated to reduce the shear force on the element.

• Concrete casting methods can be improved to suit the application and project.
