Selecting Earthquake Ground Motion Level
ideCAD select the earthquake ground motion level that you will determine from Chapter 11.2 MCER, and use to define horizontal and vertical elastic design spectrum automatically. It uses two-third of the MCER.
According to ASCE 7-16, design response spectrum determined by multiplying the risk-targeted maximum considered earthquake (MCER) response spectrum by (2/3).
