How does ideCAD define structural system type according to ASCE 7-16?
The type of structural system is selected in accordance with the design of the building.
Reinforced Concrete = This system type should be selected for the structures consisting of reinforced concrete columns and/or reinforced concrete shearwalls.
Steel = This system type should be selected for the structures consisting of steel columns, steel beams, and steel braces.
Reinforced Concrete + Steel = Steel frames (steel column + steel beam), and this system type should be selected in structural systems where reinforced concrete shearwalls are used together.
