Creating a Waffle Slab
The Transofrm to Waffle Slab command is developed to convert created slabs into waffle slab (tiled slab running in dual directions). In order to convert it to a tape, first the tiles to be converted to tape must be created.
Location of Transform to Waffle Slab
In the Architectural Program
You can access under the ribbon menu Concrete tab, Concrete title.
In Structural Program
You can access ribbon menu, Concrete tab, Concrete title.
Usage Stpes
To create a waffle slab:
Create the slab. (Creating a Slab )
Click the Transform to Waffle Slab icon in the ribbon menu .
The slab toolbar will open.
When you click the transform to waffle slab icon, objects other than slab will be dimmed.
Click the slab you want transform to waffle slab . You can selectively transform multiple slabs at the same time. When your slab selections are finished, click the right mouse button.
To reference the initial direction of your waffle ribs, when you hover your mouse over a beam of your choice, that beam will appear in red.
Choose the first beam.
For reference to the second direction of your waffle ribs, when you move your mouse over the second beam, that beam will appear in red.
When you choose your second beam, your waffle slab will be created. Exit the command by pressing the esc key on the keyboard.
If you want, you can determine the straightness of your waffle beams by clicking two points. Click the start and end point for the first direction.
Click the start and end point for the second direction.
When you click on the end point, the directions will be determined and your waffle slab will be formed. Click the right mouse button to end the command.
