# Overturning Moment Conditions

The structure overturning moment control is the control when the sum of overturning moments and the preceding total moment total is greater than 0.5.

in the x direction

∑Mx _{devirici} = ∑ (Fx _{and} H _{i} )

∑Mx _{koruyucu} = ∑w _{i} d _{y}

in the y direction

∑My_{devirici} = ∑(Fy_{i} H_{i})

∑My_{koruyucu} = ∑w_{i }dx

For each earthquake direction:

ΣM _{overturning} / ΣM _{protector} > 0.5 structure stall torque control is provided.

ΣM _{overturning} / ΣM _{protective} ≤ 0.5 structure stall torque control is not provided.

The building overturning moment control will be manually controlled for the system whose information is given below for both directions.

Building floor heights:

Ground floor → 300 cm, H _{i} = 300 cm

1st floor → 300 cm, H _{i} = 300 + 300 = 600 cm

Momet arm will take according to the lower left corner of the structure. (S01 lower left corner of column)

Since the building loads and geometry are symmetrical, the center of mass is the same as the geometric center of gravity. The distance information of the intersection of the line drawn with the cross is shown in the screenshot above.

Building Weight Calculation and earthquake forces will be read from the floor parameters dialog.
