Structural Modeling Criteria for USD
The rules regarding the modeling of structural systems to be used in the linear calculation to be made within the scope of Design Based on Strength are as follows:
4.5.1. General Modeling Rules
4.5.1.1 - Building structural systems will always be modeled in three dimensions .
4.5.1.2 - The earthquake effect in two horizontal directions perpendicular to each other will always be taken into consideration. The vertical earthquake effect will also be taken into account according to 4.4.3 .
4.5.1.3 - The extinction rate shall be 5%, unless otherwise specified.
4.5.1.4 - The modeling rules given here are also applicable to non-earthquake loading cases.
