Viewing ideCAD Model from Mobile Phone and Tablet

You can view your drawings and model on your mobile phones or tablets by converting your project files to .pdf format with PDF (Export) command in ideCAD.

Location of the PDF Command

You can access it from the menu under the ideCAD logo in the upper left corner of the screen in the ribbon menu.

Transferring Project Drawings, Details, Expansions and 3D Project Data in Pdf Format

  • When the ideCAD Logo in the upper left corner of the program is clicked, the Export/Pdf command is clicked from the menu that opens.

  • The Export to PDF dialog will open. In the dialog, give your project a name and click the Save button.

  • A dialog with options for PDF export will open.

  • Mark your drawings and 3D data options that you want to convert to pdf.

  • If you want, you can convert it to pdf format by simply checking the Export architectural design or Export structural design option.

  • You can convert both the architectural design and the structural design into a single pdf file by checking the Export both option.

  • When you click the OK button, the ideCAD will start converting to pdf.

  • When the process is complete, your created pdf file will be opened.

Opening the Project in Pdf Format on Mobile Phone/Tablet

  • By touching the bookmarks sign, you can reach the list of drawings in the pdf file, and you can switch to the drawing you want from this list.

  • You can mark and take notes on your file by touching the pencil icon.

  • If you want, you can share your file with different applications or with the people you want by tapping the share icon on the top right of the screen.

A 3D supported viewer is required to view your 3D model.

  • Open your file in the 3D supported viewer program.

  • You can use different imaging techniques in your model by entering the settings icon in the upper right corner.

  • You can navigate in your model by touching the screen and moving your finger across the screen.

  • If you want, you can look at your model from its fronts by touching the eye icon at the bottom left.

  • If you want, you can navigate through your project by taking horizontal or vertical sections by touching the icon in the lower left corner and examine your project.

  • You can select the object in your file and hide the selected object from the dialog that opens with the hide button.

  • To make the hidden object visible again, it will be enough to double-tap the space.

  • You can show it again with the Show button.

  • With the Isolate button, you can hide all objects at once except the object you selected.

  • To make all objects visible again, it will be enough to double-tap the space.

  • With the Parent button, you can select all the objects on the story of the selected object at once, and you can use the isolate or hide buttons.

  • To make all objects visible again or to leave selected objects, it will be enough to double-tap the space.
