Transfer of In-Plane Diaphragm Forces to Seismic-Force-Resisting Elements (4.5.6.5)
Transfer of In-Plane Diaphragm Forces to Seismic-Force-Resisting Elements (4.5.6.5)
In the analysis made with semi-rigid diaphragm acceptance, the control of transferring the in-plane forces to the vertical elements is done automatically.
It should be shown by calculations that the in-plane effects are safe to transfer to vertical bearing elements in floors analyzed with the acceptance of semi-rigid diaphragm.
