Finite Element Meshes of Shear Wall (Shell Elements) (4.5.3.6)

Finite Element Meshes of Shear Wall (Shell Elements) (4.5.3.6)

  • Reinforced concrete walls are modeled automatically with shell finite elements that contain degrees of freedom for both in-plane and out-of-plane displacements, as described in 4.5.3.7 .

Two different methods for modeling reinforced concrete walls with rectangular cross-section, I, T, L, U or C are suggested by the regulation.
